MSMEs Win a Lot, Expo 2024 Inbuyer Transactions Reach This High

Liputan6.com, Jakarta Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki believes that the MSME business exhibition can record transactions of more than IDR 1 trillion in 3 days. He also invited all parties to return to using local products.
This was conveyed by Teten after attending the Inbuyer Expo 2024 at Smesco Indonesia, Jakarta. This local product exhibition has recorded transactions of more than IDR 900 billion since May 15 2024.
"Earlier I was happy that the report was quite good, yes, IDR 900 billion, almost IDR 1 trillion, that's it," said Teten in his speech, Friday (17/5/2024).
Please note, Inbuyer Expo 2024 has recorded potential transactions worth IDR 946.82 billion in 2 days. According to him, this is proof of the success of synergy between MSMEs, private companies, BUMN, and regional governments.
MSME Synergy
"MSME synergy is the main key to economic independence, even though we have a strong supply market and demand, there is still a lot of supply chain potential that has not been filled by Indonesian MSMEs," he said.
“Well, this is what is actually important, especially on the production side. "In our opinion, Inbuyer is very important to support the expansion of MSME and cooperative products in the context of government goods and services as well as state-owned and private supply chains," he continued.
Remember, there is a government spending regulation that covers at least 40 percent of local products. This is said to be able to boost the national economy in the midst of turbulent global conditions.
"Especially at the moment, the economy is not doing well even though Indonesia is still quite strong at 5 percent (5.11 percent). But we all have to have an agreement on whether government spending, BUMN, including the public, buy domestic products, spend domestically, this is to strengthen our economy. "Globally is not doing well, that's why we spend our money domestically," said Teten Masduki.
Strengthen the Ecosystem
Through this local product exhibition that brings together buyers and sellers, Teten hopes that there will be a strengthening of the ecosystem between the two. For example, by having business matching so that the supply of goods and buyers' needs can match.
"So we will continue to have a strong ecosystem, between suppliers and buyers, we will continue to do business matching so that there is a match between the goods offered and government and BUMN spending," he said.
"Well, we need to perfect this with LKPP so that the Inabuyar will be bigger, bigger and more effective because the suppliers and buyers have met their requests," concluded Teten Masduki.
Boost Economic Growth
Meanwhile, General Chair of the Association of Indonesian Retailers and Shopping Center Tenants (Hippindo) Budihardjo Iduansjah said that transactions occurring within the country are also expected to further encourage domestic economic growth in the future.
"We as retailers have a responsibility and as offtakers to ensure that more and more parties shop domestically. "This is the momentum for us to carry out our vision and mission," said Budihardjo.
